The bus attacked by Russia on the morning of May 17, 2025 in the Sumy region, where 9 people died, was an evacuation bus. People were on this bus going to be evacuated. Outside the city, the bus was hit by a Lancet, it was guided by a reconnaissance drone. Currently 9 dead and 5 wounded. People received medical care on the spot and were sent to the hospital in Sumy.

The identities of some killed people have not yet been established. The overwhelming majority are women of retirement age, and 2-3 men also died.
